Chopin bust in 1835 (personal project)

Hi, here's a bust of Chopin that I made during my third year as a personal project and recently reworked to improve it.
It was my first time doing grooming in Houdini and it was really great. At that time, I didn't have a class on it but I still appreciated discovering it by myself.

I based it on a portrait of Chopin in 1835 but I sculpted the face with multiple references so I would not be distracted by the painters artistic interpretation. I also used the death mask, sculpture, and Hadi Karimi's work as reference even though we did not take the same time period as a reference

I have been playing piano since I was 6 years old and I'm really passionate about Chopin either his musique or his life.

I really enjoyed doing this work and I learned a lot.

The modeling was made in ZBrush, the retopology in Maya, the grooming in Houdini, the textures in Substance Painter, the render in Arnold, and the compositing in Nuke.

Hope you like it, thanks for watching

Have a nice day!
